Youth Ministries
Middle School
Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m.
Middle School youth meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm for dinner, games, study and discussions at Faith Club. This is a time of fun and community building with other youth at St. Paul's. Each week study and discussion focus on Biblical principles that impact the lives of young teens.
High School Tuesdays, 7:00 p.m.
Our Senior High group meets at 7:00 pm on Tuesday evenings for "Teen Cafe." Pizza, blended smoothies and shakes, music and interesting discussions advocate a personal journey of faith. Each week we look candidly at issues and subjects that impact how a teen lives in today's world. Get your homework done early and don't miss a single week of Teen Cafe!
High School
February 17 – 19, 2007
Plan now for a fun-filled weekend in the mountains. This year's winter retreat will be held at a retreat camp near Running Springs. Great activities, outdoor play (snow, if the weather cooperates), hiking and interesting discussions will make this a retreat you won't want to miss. Join David Milligan for a weekend to remember.
Youth Confirmation
"Living the Baptismal Covenant"
March 4 – April 1 & April 15 - 29, 2007
Sundays @ 9:10
This class is for middle school people who may wish to be confirmed, or at least explore our Episcopal faith and traditions in greater depth. Entitled, "Living the Baptismal Covenant." we will explore the vital themes of belonging, community, prayer, repentance, Scripture, service, story and worship. Moving away from "regular school type" teaching, these classes will endeavor to present activities and discussions to foster simple, profound experiences of the holy. All young persons of middle school age are welcome and anyone attending the entire series of classes may choose to be confirmed at the Diocesan Cathedral Center on May 5, 2007.
In the Episcopal Church, many of us are baptized as infants and Confirmation is that rite, or Sacrament, where young persons have the opportunity to "own the faith" in which they have been brought up. You are encouraged to speak to one of our clergy about joining the class, even in mid-stream.
