Beyond the Mind:  Entering the Divine

Jesus spoke continually about entering the Kingdom of God.  Kingdom language has been interpreted in many ways, but today, most Biblical scholars agree that Jesus intended to show us the way to enter the Kingdom of God NOW.  This was and is a radical departure in understanding our relationship to God.  This understanding would lead the community of the Gospel of John to refer to Kingdom living as the way, the truth and the life.
When we attempt to be fully present in the NOW we discover the amazing grip that our analytical mind holds over us.  Our analytical mind holds us captive by time – continually analyzing the past and predicting the future trapping us in regret over what has happened and worry as to what might happen. We are not our mind and once we learn to get past our mind we can move deeply into the present which is the presence of the Divine.
In this class we will look at four teachings of Jesus and examine the life-changing implications of learning wholeness as a way of living.
We will examine:

1. The relationship of the thinking mind to the Divine
2. The way out of pain
3. Moving deeply into the Now
4. How our mind tries to avoid the Now
5. Ways to shift our understanding of Divine Presence
6. The inner body
7. Peace: Beyond happiness and unhappiness
8. The shift from Mind Energy to Spiritual Energy
